Where To Visit In Lincolnshire

Whether you are a get up and go person, or whether you like sedate walks in the countryside, or you fit in somewhere in between – Lincolnshire has something to offer you!

From quad biking, to skate parks, fun fairs to amusements and plenty of reasons to shop, Lincolnshire has all the action activities you could hope for!

When you want something a little more sedate, you can soak up the history of the area, ranging from iron age and medieval abandoned settlements to historically significant castles and other buildings – some with a very bloody past!

Lincoln is a vibrant city with a long and historic past.  There are many places to visit to suit all requirements – from fun to historic.  The city centre is split into two distinct areas – with big name shopping in one and Lincoln’s famous little shops and boutiques up near the cathedral.

Skegness is the jewel in the Lincolnshire coast’s crown.  Formerly, a sleepy fishing village the introduction of the railway and the opening of the world’s first Butlins camp nearby changed all that. With fun for all the family, and miles of blue flag award winning beaches it makes an ideal location to spend a week or two.  Traditional donkey rides and ice creams are available in the summer season along with a whole host of fun attractions, rides and excitement for all the family.

Up the coast is Ingoldmells (the actual home of Butlins!) where you will find Fantasy Island with its many exciting rides and events, including rollercoasters and the famous Eastgate Market.  For a slightly more sedate time, there is also Chapel St. Leonards a few miles up the coast – and not forgetting Mablethorpe and Cleethorpes further up the coast with their many attractions!
